Such a fun place! I was so excited to see such a novel location in Reno. I came on a Sunday morning and it was such a peaceful time. They have a selection of some coffees and teas and serve a small menu from the Mother of Macros, so it’s nice clean food. The owners were incredibly kind and fun to chat with. The cat room is beautifully done and the decor is very aesthetic. The kitties just roam about within the room for you to socialize with. All the cats are from local rescue groups and adoptable, so it’s a great way to meet and greet a potential new friend in a much less stressful environment than a shelter. They also do a fantastic job with keeping the space very clean and having people sanitize before and after. Overall such a fun experience and definitely will be popping in more often.
Wow! This is such a charming and lovely spot, the drinks were amazing (that chai mocha latte! Wow) and the snacks were so delicious (the donuts were so cute and really tasty, with a layered pastry type dough). The cats, obviously, are the star of the show. They had a list of rules beforehand and the host was very welcoming and informative. We washed our hands or sanitized before entering and they have this beautiful cat jungle gym with lots of cute and comfy furniture. There are bins with toys as well as treats available to give to the cats. There were two others with our group of 6 during our reservation and we all had plenty of space to pet cats and not run into each other or get in the way. We came at noon and the cats were mostly napping but we got to spend time with the four that were awake and they were really really friendly and sweet. They loved pets, toys, and treats. The rest were sleeping but were very open to pets if we offered a hand for them to sniff us first, and a couple preferred to hide out of touching distance and just slept or watched. One cat was inside a cage and we were allowed to open it up and play with her as long as we didn’t let the other cats in since she didn’t like the other cats. The host came in and introduced us to all of the cats and gave us their stories, it was really cool to learn about their backgrounds. I am just so sad we can’t adopt them all! I really loved my time here and if we lived in Reno we would absolutely get a membership. Such a great place!
This place is amazing! They are really doing a great thing here by working with other local shelters to get these cats adopted. My husband and I had no intent to adopt during our visit as we have 3 fur children already. We came here to decompress and enrich the lives of the kitties while enjoying a cup of tea. On our way out after our one hour visit we GLADLY purchased a nice water bottle, a dream catcher, some Kitty Kisses Cat Café stickers and couple of other goodies. Well over a $100 visit but worth it to us because that money goes to a cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
Pay no mind to the petty people leaving low star reviews and complaining about not having enough cats to “play” with. These small minded individuals lack the understanding that this establishment is not a circus; the cats are not at the cafe for YOUR entertainment. They are there because they are homeless and in need of enrichment and loving families. The cost of entry and anything you purchase goes right back to the caring of these kitties and keeping the cafe open. So long as you have a few decent brain cells to understand the concept, I’m sure you will greatly enjoy your stay at the Kitty Kisses Cat Café.
Beat my expectations.
15 of us went for a private party. It was two hours private room and one hour with the lovely cats. We had the room to ourselves and had a lovely seating area upstairs to eat. The food here is mostly protein donuts and prepackaged goods, nothing made in store. We brought our own foods for social hour.
The venue is decorated beautifully and has super cool souvinirs. There’s a beautiful mural in the bathroom.
The staff is super kind and Gizmo was born to be a Cafe cat! I wish there were a few more cats, but that could easily be out of the venue’s control.
Follow the kitty rules and you’ll have a pleasant experience.
Features: Many stations for hand sanitization.
This is a fantastic place for folks of all ages! Probably one of the most unique spots in town. Come get a quick lunch, play with friendly loving kitties, and maybe even take one home with you! I had a blast here, and would definitely recommend visiting. Great place for a date!
Oh my gosh we just had a wonderful time playing with all the kitties and helping the more shy cats get used to people! The furniture was really comfy, the ambiance was calm and pretty! Love the greenery. We will be returning every once in a while since we can’t adopt at our place.
Cute kitties. Good food, good drinks. Came here for valentine’s day with my partner and we had so much fun just loving on the cats.
Kitty Kisses Cat Café was amazing!! Great place to get to chill with the kittens and cats- will definitely be returning here soon, thank you so much for the coffee and cuddles!
Short and sweet:
This place is amazing. Come relax, have some great coffee, and pet some cats! It is recommended you make a appointment on their website for the cat lounge, but if they are not too busy, you can also just walk in! (We did)Full review:
Came here for the first time today, wanting to relax after a hard week. The staff was absolutely wonderful, giving my partner and I all of the information of the backgrounds of the kittens as well as any questions we had. This is a family owned, local business and have great service to accommodate everyone.I could not have asked for more, it is such a peaceful, great environment, with kittens playing, and adult cats. They have two areas, a kitten lounge and a adult cat/resident lounge. Some of the cats and kittens are available for adoption, and help to support animal rescue centers which the cats come from. They are all very sweet and a great place to come, relax, pet some cats and relieve yourself of a hard day, week, or any sort of trauma you may have.
Come get some coffee, enjoy your time, relax and see this wonderful place for yourself. We will be regulars now! Try to book an appointment before coming, just incase they are busy. But if you want to make a Surprise visit and not an appointment, that is okay too! As Long as they are not too busy.
Pricing is reasonable and worth every penny. 15 dollars per hour, per person for visiting the cats (they offer unlimited monthly, or yearly plans too if you love it).
I took my daughter and a couple of her friends in for her birthday today and it was too freaking cute!! The owner and her volunteers were great and you can tell they love the cats in their care. They also made sure my girl felt special and the girls were all taken care of. The kitten room had several adorable kittens, some super snuggly and some super playful, but all super friendly. The big cat room was great, too! They weren’t as playful, but they came to say hello and get some scratchies when we sat down. It was hard to go home without bringing a new friend along. I’m so glad we stopped by and will definitely be back!
